Gabler’s Destroyer historical reference
A project for a light tank with frontal armor comparable to a medium tank. It was planned to construct a welded hull from rolled armored plates. The turret, in turn, would have been cast. As armament, the vehicle was supposed to have one 57 mm or 75 mm gun and three 7.92 mm machine guns. The top of the turret would also have been equipped with two double-barreled rocket launchers. A powerful engine was meant to ensure excellent maneuverability both on and off road, while the suspension was designed to be very smooth. Despite promising mobility and defense capabilities for the time, construction difficulties and high costs meant that the project did not enter production.
