Tracks
The running gear, which immobilises the vehicle when broken and absorbs shells like spaced armor when intact.
Also known as track, tracked, detracked, chassis.
A broken track stops the vehicle until it is repaired, which is the most common way a target is held in place long enough to be killed. Tracking an opponent and letting allies finish them is a play in itself.
Intact tracks are also armor. They count as spaced armor, so a shell that hits the track first spends penetration before reaching the hull, and a vehicle can deliberately present its track to eat a shot.
Damage dealt to a target that an ally has tracked is credited as tracking assistance, so immobilising an enemy shows up in the statistics.
