Critical hit
Damage to a module or a crew member, which degrades what a vehicle can do without necessarily costing it hit points.
Also known as crit, critical damage, module damage crit.
Every hit checks what sits behind the point of impact. An engine, a gun, a track, an ammo rack, a fuel tank or a crew member can be damaged or destroyed, and a shell that fails to penetrate can still cause one.
The consequences are specific: a damaged gun loses accuracy, a wounded loader reloads slower, a broken engine cuts power, a destroyed ammo rack ends the battle. Repair kits fix modules, first aid kits heal crew, and the repairs skill decides how fast an untended module comes back.
