Ares 90 historical reference
Despite failing to promote its own weapons, the Ares company collaborated with Cadillac Gage to develop another project that was supposed to interest the U.S. military. It was a simplified version of a light, rapid armored vehicle with high-tech solutions and low production costs. As armament, 85 mm and 90 mm Ares guns were proposed, including the Twilight-2000 gun. However, a "light" vehicle that weighed nearly 50 tons impressed neither the Army nor the Marine Corps.
