Terrifiant historical reference
In the 1950s, French heavy tank development reached a dead end. Several attempts to develop designs from WWII failed to produce competitive new vehicles, so France turned to the U.S.A. for help. They purchased documents and blueprints for the suspension of the TS-6 heavy tank project, which was never built. The French designers mounted a turret equipped with a 128 mm gun on top. The resulting tank was too heavy, and efforts to install a powerful engine of over 1,000 h.p. failed. The project was discontinued.
