Spall Liner
The equipment that reduces high explosive damage, stun duration, crew injuries and ramming damage.
Also known as spall, liner.
A spall liner is the answer to artillery. It cuts the damage a blast deals through armor, shortens the stun that comes with it, and protects the crew from the injuries that make the vehicle useless for the next ten seconds.
It is heavy, and it does nothing at all against a shell that penetrates cleanly, so it belongs on vehicles that are hit by explosions rather than by armor-piercing rounds.
