Assistance damage

Damage an ally dealt to a target the player spotted or tracked, credited to the player who made the shot possible.

Also known as assist, assisted damage, spotting damage, track damage.

The game credits two kinds of assistance. Spotting assistance is damage dealt to a vehicle the player had spotted, tracking assistance is damage dealt to a vehicle the player had immobilised. Both are counted in full, and a battle can produce more assistance than damage.

It is what makes light tanks measurable. A scout's whole job is to make the enemy visible for someone else, and without assistance in the ledger that job scores zero. Marks of Excellence and some ratings use combined damage, damage plus assistance, for this reason.

Only one player is credited for spotting a target, the one who has it lit at the moment of the hit, so assistance cannot be double counted across a team.
