[JG26]Jagdgeschwader 26 (Luger Division)

The Luftwaffe fighter squadron Jagdgeschwader 26 was formed on May 1, 1939 and was involved on many fronts including the battle of france, battle of britain, eastern front, and defended the western front through most of the war. The JG 26 was identified by their yellow nosed bf109s with the geschwader emblem on both sides of their fighter planes. This emblem was a black gothic "S" on a white shield. The shield was in memory of Albert Leo Schlageter, a World War I veteran and Freikorps member arrested and executed by the french for sabotage in 1923. This squadron is for those who are interested in fighting with german planes, tanks, and ships. All who want to fight under the "Schlageter" shield with honor are welcome. We lost one of our first members (Luger_JG26) recently. This division Is now dedicated to his memory.
