Por fin amanecía, la noche se retiraba dejando paso a la luz. El sol sustituía al fuego y los ojos de los supervivientes contemplaron en toda su magnitud el horror que habían podido intuir gracias a las luces de los incendios.
Tres horas, tres horas habían bastado para echar por tierra años de civilización y de esfuerzo. Los edificios ardiendo, el hedor de la carne quemada y los lamentos de los moribundos hacían más insoportable aún el dolor de cuerpos.
Todo fue muy rápido, desembarcaron y en completo silencio se dirigieron directamente a los blancos asignados sofocando en pocos minutos toda resistencia, allí por donde pasaron sólo dejaron muerte y destrucción.
