AMX 40 historical reference
Development started in March 1940. Almost all armor plates had a complex and curvilinear shape, and the hull featured few, if any, right angles. The AMX 40 was supposed to replace the Somua S35 and S40 in 1941–1942, but the project was discontinued in July 1940. Existed only in blueprints.
