Ridge line
The crest of a hill, which conceals everything behind it and can be fought over only by vehicles with the depression to shoot across it.
Also known as ridge, crest.
A ridge is a wall that both sides can approach. Whoever crests it first is exposed, whoever waits behind it can spot and shoot the moment the other appears, so ridges are held rather than crossed.
They are also where hull down positions come from, which is why the same few ridges on each map decide the outcome of most battles fought there.
