DALLE ORIGINI ALLA GRANDE BATTAGLIA DI EL ALAMEIN

L'origine del reparto risale al 1937 quando, il 15 luglio, venne formata la 2^ Brigata Corazzata composta inizialmente dal solo 3° Reggimento Bersaglieri. Nel novembre dell'anno successivo si uniscono l'8° Reggimento Bersaglieri ed il 32° Reggimento Fanteria Carrista. Il 1 febbraio 1939 la Brigata viene innalzata al livello divisionale assumendo il nome definitivo di 132^ Divisione Corazzata Ariete.
