Tankový prapor 503
Vytvořen v květnu 1942, původně určen pro Africké bojiště, v lednu 1943, ale poslán na na jižní úsek východní fronty. Plného stavu dosáhl prapor až v dubnu 1943. Účastnil se Kurské ofenzívy, během níž ztratil pouze čtyři Tygry. Z části praporu byl vytvořen Panzer Regiment "Bäke". Poté se účastnil bojů u Čerkassy. V dubnu 1944 prapor stažen na doplnění na Západní frontu. První rota dostala tanky Tygr II, ostatní si ponechali Tygry I. V červenci 1944 byla 3. Kompanie kompletně zničena během přesunu v oblasti Normandie. K 9. září obdržely všechny Kompanie tanky Tygr II (zvané taky Königstiger - královský Tygr). V říjnu 1944b byl prapor přesunut do Maďarska k obraně Budapešti. 21.12.1944 prapor přejmenován na Schwere Panzer Abteilung Feldherrnhalle a začleněn do PzGren. Div. Feldherrnhalle. Příslušníky praporu byla tanková esa jako Kurt Knispel, Freiherr von Rosen nebo Walter Scherf.
