Advance carefully or an arty, aka rook, can lay a smack down on you. As you gain ground by angling your tank and snipe behind cover, you've become a bishop. As you advance and successfully engage an enemy up close, you've become a knight. As you chase the few enemies left, you're the queen and do whatever the f\*\*\* you want, you can move up to an arty and shove your gun up its fuel tank.
