# Wiggling

Rocking the hull back and forth while under fire so incoming shots meet a constantly changing angle rather than the same weak spot.

Also known as wiggle, shaking the hull.

A stationary target lets an opponent aim carefully at a hatch or a [lower plate](/glossary/lower-front-plate.md). Turning the hull a few degrees in each direction denies that, because the aim point moves and the plates are never presented flat for long.

It costs nothing while reloading, and it is why an experienced [heavy tank](/glossary/heavy-tank.md) player is never quite still in a corner fight.
