# Skirmish

The short Stronghold battle format, fought seven against seven or ten against ten at Tier VI, VIII or X for industrial resource.

Also known as skirmishes, clan skirmish.

Skirmishes run in scheduled windows through the day. A [clan](/glossary/clan.md) queues a team, plays a series of short [battles](/glossary/battles.md), and converts the results into industrial resource for its [Stronghold](/glossary/stronghold.md).

The small team size is what makes them a training ground: every vehicle matters, calls are heard, and the same seven players improve together in a way a random battle never asks for.
