# Render range

The 564 metre radius inside which a spotted vehicle is actually drawn on your screen.

Also known as draw distance, 564m, render distance.

[Spotting](/glossary/spotting.md) and rendering are two different limits. A teammate can spot an enemy 700 metres away, but if that enemy is beyond 564 metres from you, your client never draws it: it shows on the [minimap](/glossary/minimap.md) and not in the world.

This is why a target can vanish from view without breaking cover, and why long-range fire is aimed at the minimap and the [tracer](/glossary/tracer.md) rather than at a visible vehicle.
