# Field modifications

Per-vehicle upgrades unlocked after a vehicle is elite, trading one stat against another in a series of choices.

Also known as field mods, post progression.

Once a vehicle is fully researched and [elite](/glossary/elite-status.md), field modifications open up. Each level offers a pair of options, better [concealment](/glossary/camouflage.md) or better [view range](/glossary/view-range.md), more [penetration](/glossary/penetration.md) or more [shell velocity](/glossary/shell-velocity.md), and the choice is exclusive.

They let a player specialise a vehicle toward how they actually use it, and they can be reset. They are available from [Tier](/glossary/tier.md) VI upward.
