# Equipment

Permanent upgrades fitted into a vehicle's three slots, each improving one area of its performance.

Also known as modules equipment, loadout, toolbox.

Every vehicle has three equipment slots, and each slot is tied to a category, firepower, mobility, survivability or scouting, with a bonus for fitting matching equipment into it.

The usual choices are a [rammer](/glossary/rammer.md) for [reload](/glossary/reload.md), a vertical stabiliser for [dispersion](/glossary/dispersion.md) penalties, [optics](/glossary/optics.md) for [view range](/glossary/view-range.md), a [turbocharger](/glossary/turbocharger.md) for mobility, and [camouflage nets](/glossary/camouflage-net.md) or [concealment](/glossary/camouflage.md) gear for vehicles that hide. Improved and bounty versions of the same items are stronger and cost [bonds](/glossary/bonds.md) or come from events.

Equipment can be demounted and moved, at a cost, so a loadout follows a player rather than being spent on one vehicle.
