# Directive

A consumable that boosts a piece of equipment or a crew skill for one battle.

Also known as directives, instructions, wet ammo rack.

Directives sit alongside [equipment](/glossary/equipment.md). One raises what a fitted item does, another improves a specific [crew skill](/glossary/crew-skill.md), and a few add abilities a vehicle would not otherwise have, such as a wet ammo rack that lowers detonation risk.

They are spent per battle, so they are used when the battle matters: in a [clan](/glossary/clan.md) format or on a vehicle being pushed for a third mark, rather than in every random battle.
