# Demount kit

The item that removes a piece of equipment from a vehicle without paying the gold fee.

Also known as demounting kit.

[Equipment](/glossary/equipment.md) can always be moved, at a cost: [gold](/glossary/gold.md), or a demount kit earned from events and missions. Standard equipment can also be sold back for [credits](/glossary/credits.md) at a loss.

It is what makes one good loadout usable across several vehicles, which is how most players run [improved equipment](/glossary/bounty-equipment.md) they own only one of.
