"Ferrea mole ferreo cuore"
Reggimento carri, si compone di un comando di reggimento, una compagnia di supporto logistico ed un battaglione carri, pedina operativa dell'unità.
Il 1° settembre 1936 si forma il 2° Reggimento Fanteria Carrista nel quale confluiscono battaglioni carri d'assalto, poi detti leggeri, (L) e di rottura poi medi (M).
Dal 1° dicembre 1938 diviene 32° Reggimento Fanteria Carrista ed è assegnato alla Brigata Corazzata "Ariete" che un anno dopo forma l'omonima divisione.
Il reggimento opera in Africa Settentrionale fino all'aprile 1942 ed in seguito, ridislocato in Sardegna, vi permane fino allo scioglimento il 31 agosto 1944.
Il 1° marzo 1964 viene costituito il 32° Reggimento Carri che, a seguito della ristrutturazione dell'Esercito è sciolto il 30 settembre 1975. Resta in vita il III battaglione carri con il nome di 3° battaglione carri "M.O. Galas" assegnato alla 32^ Brigata Corazzata "Manin" con il 5° "M.O.Chiamenti".
