Motorniczy tramwaju nr 18 Karol Krawczyk (Cezary Żak) i pracujący w miejskiej kanalizacji Tadeusz Norek (Artur Barciś) są zaprzyjaźnionymi żonatymi mężczyznami po trzydziestce. Mimo kłopotów są wielkimi optymistami. Nie ustają w poszukiwaniu sposobów na zarobienie fortuny, co prowadzi do różnych perypetii. Obaj są infantylni, lekko nierozgarnięci i niezamożni.
