Von einigen belächelt, von vielen nicht beachtet, von den meisten unterschätzt, jedoch für alle Gegner tödlich, dies sind die historischen Panzerjäger der MARDER-Reihe.
Als ein Provisorium aus der Notwendigkeit entstanden, dem Ansturm der russischen Panzer standzuhalten, wurde er zu einem der flexibelsten und damit besten Panzerjägern des zweiten Weltkrieges. Ihm und seinen Mannschaften ist es zu verdanken, dass auf allen Kriegsschauplätzen viele Frontabschnitte gehalten wurden. Sie waren die Feuerwehr an den Brennpunkten des Geschehens. Selbst aber war der Marder bei weitem nicht unverwundbar und hatte keine speziell überragenden Gefechtswerte, sondern die Mischung aus einem guten Geschütz, einem robusten Fahrwerk, deutscher Zieloptik und einer zusammengeschweissten Mannschaft ermöglichten die Erfolge auf dem Schlachtfeld.
In dieser Tradition wollen wir als Verband die Gefechtslage auf dem Schlachtfeld dominieren und unsere Einsätze als kameradschaftliche Einheit zum Erfolg führen.
