752 Účelem vývoje tohoto vozidla bylo vylepšení pancéřové ochrany a zároveň zachování 50tunového hmotnostního limitu pro těžké tanky. Vozidlo bylo vyvinuto v roce 1952 speciální konstrukční kanceláří č. 2 v Kirovově závodu v Čeljabinsku. Projekt měl velmi hustě uspořádané vnitřní moduly a diferencované pancéřování. Podle jednoho z návrhů měl mít oscilační věž.
